Who am I
My work is informed by current events and internet culture. Common images like the ones seen on the daily news or advertising are inescapable, yet tantalizing. Most of what many of us see on a day-to-day basis comes to us through a screen.
As we become more connected, we become more disjointed. We are fragmented identities scattered through servers as curated personas within micro-niches across posting platforms. We are hyper objectified, becoming “content.”’
I wish to focus on depicting human connections to ecology in the face of climate change and our relationship to technology while embracing kitsch and absurdity.
